MY PROJECTS
I have had the privelage to collaborate on several exciting and creative projects taking my textile practice beyond clothing. Mostly connecting to my links within the hospitality industry- contributing to the textile elements of interior designs as well as uniforms and aprons.
A collection of lights sculptured in stainless steel mesh for the dining room at The Crimean in Nth Melbourne, as well as an oversized canvas curtain as a room divider with utilitarian details and finishes.
A homewares range of pot grabs and pads, cushions and aprons from French flea market linen finds to locally sourced wool felt from the Creswick Woolen Mill for
Du fermier at Trentham in country Victoria. Du fermier also features a light designed and made by me from an amazing hand screen printed linen by Ellie Curtis, UK-that focuses on "anthropomorphica"......
Groovy aprons for the restaurant staff at The Springs Hotel in Hepburn Springs, Victoria and Mr Carsisi- in my hometown of Kyneton.
I am comfortable working with with yarn, mesh, fabric, felt, roving, leather, paper and other woven mediums. And my technical skills extend to stitch, sculpture, knit, weave, screenprint and beyond.
Please contact me to discuss commissions and collaborative possibilities.
